“At the Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High school, I was introduced to ACCE, a small village of multi-talented people who mentor youth. Through ACCE’s scholarship and support, I gained the courage and the confidence to continue my journey. In the next 10 years, I hope to become a program director who creates dental hygiene, dental technician and dental assisting programs that leads professionals committed to community oral healthcare.
I come from a small rural village in Jamaica that is filled with talented people, my family included. However, if my family did not grasp the opportunities that came their way then success in career, education, and lifestyle would not have happened. This is true for me as well, there is a Jamaican saying that I live by: “Take what you can get until you can get what you want.” Every opportunity you take can be the foundation that propels you to achieve your ultimate life goal.
I thank ACCE and its generous donors who are helping me and my peers at Cape Cod Community College to realize our potential and dreams.”
